Francesco Asnicar, Ph.D., is a tenure-track researcher at the CIBIO Department at the University of Trento (Italy). Previously he was a postdoctoral researcher in the Computational Metagenomics lab under the supervision of Prof. Nicola Segata. Francesco has a computer science background and his research interests focus on developing computational analysis tools to study the human microbiome, studying in particular the complex relationships between diet and metabolic responses with the human gut microbiome.
