Ramin, formerly Vice Chair of the Board and Head of Science at the Association for Vertical Farming, now serves as a Business Development Manager at the Advanced Plant Growth Centre (APGC) at the James Hutton Institute. Ramin is focused on driving innovations in plant growth technologies and strategies to strengthen climate resilience and agricultural advancement in the UK and Scotland.
In his role, he leads initiatives positioning the APGC as a hub for modern breeding techniques and climate adaptation strategies. His work fosters collaboration to integrate scientific research with practical applications, addressing food security and sustainability challenges in the face of climate change. Ramin is also championing the financial sustainability efforts for the National Alternative Protein Innovation Centre (NAPIC), a new UK-wide initiative supporting the development of sustainable protein alternatives.
